Katsina State has emerged as the best-performing state in the category of states’ participation at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair 2026, in recognition of its active engagement and impressive exhibition throughout the event.
The Katsina State delegation to the trade fair was led by the Commissioner for Commerce, Hon. Yusuf Rabiu Jirdede, who represented the state during the programme and coordinated the display of the state’s economic potentials through various exhibits.
The award was formally presented to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, during the State Executive Council meeting held on Thursday. The presentation was carried out by Hon. Jirdede alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Hajiya Aishatu Abdullahi.
Officials at the presentation commended Katsina State’s vibrant pavilion at the trade fair, noting that it attracted a large number of visitors, including prospective investors interested in exploring business opportunities in the state.
They added that the recognition reflects the ongoing efforts of the state government under Governor Radda to promote trade, attract investments, and showcase the rich economic potential of Katsina State.
